Climate change negotiations need strong scientific background and environmental Conferences impose tight deadlines on communication officers.
Our networking organization includes lots of freelance translators and scientific advisers.
When the International Panel of Climate Change released its 2007 Report, the meticulous approval procedure of this Panel led to a very short timeframe between the English language release and the scheduled release in all UN official languages. We stepped in just before the very last minute and were able to deliver over a thousand pages of scientific material within three weeks, and the same deadline for the layout in Russian, Spanish and French. Although sometimes demanding, such challenges are happily met if they allow the ideals and objectives of global organizations to foster evidence-based policy making at the global scale.
